ON Friday, December 2, customers and visitors at both The Equestrian Store and The Country Store on the Mahon Road, Portadown were whisked into the festive spirit. From early morning, the huge car parking facilities were full of cars and both shops had lots of interested shoppers, all trying to get a glimpse of Father Christmas, ‘Santa’.
The staff at both stores were well prepared, lots of refreshments were ready and waiting for all the visitors; soups, mulled wine, stew, breads, drinks and lots of nibbles and sweets. The staff knew this was going to be an amazing event – who doesn’t want to have the opportunity to meet Santa?
Visitors who hadn’t been at The Equestrian Store or The Country Store before Friday were amazed with the array of product lines from household fuels, pet foods to the fantastic range of clothing lines available, including ladies, mens and kids (making ideal Christmas gifts).
As you can imagine, lots of kids were with their parents, to see Santa and to tell him what they want for Christmas. The queue for Santa was bulging all day. It was well worth the wait, all the kids were astonished to meet Santa and also his trusted helper ‘Bill' the pony, the kids also got to pet, feed or walk 'Bill'. All the parents thought Santa was the best ever, spending a generous amount of time entertaining the kids and parents alike in the equestrian themed Christmas Grotto. Each child got a Free Gift from Santa and the parents got a keepsake memory, a free professional photograph of their child with Santa.
Throughout the day there were prize draws and free sample giveaways.
